Introduction of Classical V-Belt

CLASSICAL V-BELTS: Efficient Power Transmission for Industrial and Agricultural Applications Classical V-belts are one of the most commonly used types of power transmission belts in industrial and agricultural machinery. Their design allows for efficient energy transfer between pulleys, providing high speed and torque in a compact form.

Key Features:

  • Trapezoidal Cross-Section: The “V” shape wedges into pulley grooves, ensuring better grip and reduced slippage.
  • High Power Transmission Efficiency: Transmits up to 95% efficiency with minimal energy loss.
  • Flexible & Durable Construction: Made from rubber or polymer compounds reinforced with polyester or aramid cords for strength and flexibility.
  • Shock Absorption: Designed to dampen vibration and handle sudden load changes without damage.

Standard Sizes & Sections :

Classical V-belts come in standardized cross-sections, typically labeled as:

  • A Section (13 mm top width) – Available from size 19” & above
  • B Section (17 mm top width) – Available from size 20” & above
  • C Section (22 mm top width) – Available from size 36” & above
  • D and E Sections (used for heavy-duty industrial applications) – Available from size 88” & 180” above respectively

Each belt is marked with a specific length code, indicating its inside length (Li), pitch length (Lp), or outside length (La) depending on the manufacturer.

Applications:

  • Industrial machines (conveyors, compressors, pumps)
  • Agricultural equipment (threshers, harvesters)
  • Automotive accessories
  • Flour mills
  • HVAC systems

Advantages:

  • Easy to install and replace
  • Cost-effective
  • Versatile across a wide range of applications
  • Requires minimal maintenance
